As part of efforts to ensure the timely graduation of students, the Doctoral Program in Urban and Regional Planning at UNDIP conducts monitoring, evaluation, and mentoring for its students. On August 14, 2024, a hybrid monitoring and evaluation session was held for students from the first and second cohorts, who are currently in their second and third semesters. At this stage, students have refined their research topics in greater detail. This session is attended by program management representatives, which are Prof. Wiwandari Handayani as Head of the Doctoral Program, Dr. Jawoto Sih Setyono as academic advisor for Cohort 1, Prof. Iwan Rudiarto as academic advisor for Cohort 2, and representatives from the Quality Assurance Unit of Department of Urban and Regional Planning.<\/p>\n

Other than the monitoring and evaluation session, the program management also provided an introduction to the 2024 odd semester which includes coursework for second and third semesters. A two-way interaction between students, program management, and academic advisor also took place, where students were given the opportunity to share updates on the research progress. In the first semester, students are obligated to prepare a research proposal in addition to their obligation to draft their publication I.<\/p>\n

Follow-up efforts and guidance from the program management and academic advisors is focused on encouraging students to consistently and routinely consult with both their primary and co-supervisors. The structured guidance system is expected to help students accelerate the dissertations progress and to assist supervisors in monitoring their students\u2019 research outcomes progress. Students demonstrated great enthusiasm and cooperation throughout the session by showing significant progress in developing their research proposals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
